About Bill Help Now

A free, plain-English guide for anyone who's behind on bills or trying to keep from falling behind.

Why this site exists

When money is short, the help that exists (energy assistance, payment plans, food and phone programs, money you may already be owed) is spread across dozens of government websites written in confusing language. Scammers and high-fee lenders are often easier to find than the real help.

Bill Help Now puts the real options in one place, in words anyone can follow, with the phone numbers and links you need to act today.

What we promise

  • Free help first. Free programs always come before anything that costs money.
  • Checked facts. We check program details against official sources, usually .gov websites, and put the date we checked on every page.
  • No predatory offers. We never list payday lenders, car-title loans, credit repair or debt settlement companies.
  • Honest labels. Partner links are clearly marked, and they never change the advice. See how we make money.
  • Your privacy. No account needed and no tracking cookies. See our privacy policy.

How we keep the lights on

The site is free. We sell a few low-cost printable planners and kits in our shop, and some pages include labeled links to services that can lower your monthly bills. If you use one, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you.

What we're not

Bill Help Now is an independent website. We're not a government agency, lender, law firm or financial advisor, and we can't pay bills or decide who qualifies for a program. For local help right now, dial 211.
